DAY 1:
Passing Nicosia into the occupied area of Cyprus, we will visit the ruins of Bellapais Abbey built in
the 13th Century. It is at an altitude of 220m above sea level and commands a long view down to
Kyrenia and the Meditteranean Sea. This site is also a museum, which hosts a restaurant and cafe
where we can enjoy a delicious lunch.
Continuing our tour we will visit the picturesque harbour of Kyrenia, where we will find the oldest
shipwreck in the world. We will then head towards Pentadaktylos mountains. The location of these
mountains near the sea made them desirable locations for watch towers and castles overlooking the
northern Cyprus coast and central plain.
DAY 2:
Starting in the village of Panagia, the birthplace of Archbishop Makarios 3rd, we will visit the
Monastery of Chrysorogiatissa. Set in beautiful surroundings, the Monastery, built in the 12th century
is dedicated to ‘Our Lady of the Golden Pomegranate’. From here we will continue through Cedar
Valley, the home of the Cyprus National animal the Moufflon.
Travelling through the forest, we arrive at Kykkos Monastery where beautiful fresco paintings cover
the basilica.
There are many things to see here including the tomb of Archbishop Makarios 3rd, a unique
iconostasis and a local market where you can find a variety of traditional sweets, nuts and souvenirs.
We will then stop for a buffet lunch in Prodromos, the village where Richard the Lion heart is said to
have spent his honeymoon with Verengania of Navara after they married in the Medieval Castle in
Limassol. Finally, we will drive through Platres towards the village of Omodos where we will stop for
a wine tasting and a coffee break.
DAY 3:
Commencing our trip to Larnaca, we will visit Saint Lazarus Church, built in the late 9th Century. The
woodcarving of the unique Baroque Iconostasis of the church was done between 1773 and 1782. St
Lazarus was Jesus’s friend under the Iconostasis. Leaving here we will pass Nicosia on our way to the
quaint village of Kakopetria. Here we will stop for a coffee break and a brisk walk through the village.
Finally, before heading back, our last stop will be the picturesque village of Omodos. Here you can
indulge in a tasting of local wines at Linos Winery and enjoy a meze in one of the many local tavern’s
in the area.
DAY 4:
The Paphos Traditional Market and Kings Avenue Mall will offer a relaxing day shopping in the
morning .
Lunch will be served at the traditional fishing harbor of Saint George, which according to tradition st

In the area are three early Christian Basilikas from the 2nd and 3rd century ad .
DAY 5:
Departing from Paphos on the A6 motorway to Limassol, our first stop is the Rock of Aphrodite,
otherwise known as “Petra tou Romiou” or Aphrodite’s birthplace. Continuing on our route we will
pass Pissouri village and the British military bases of Episkopi Garisson. Arriving at our destination,
the Kourion Amphitheatre is located on a cliff, displaying unobstructed views of the Mediterranean
We will then visit neighbouring villages where we can enjoy traditional delicacies’ and wine tastings at
various Wineries and tavern’s.
DAY 6:
We will start off our trip in Geroskipou village located in Paphos. Here we will visit Saint Paraskevi
church, which is considered to be an extremely significant example of Byzantine architecture dated to
the 9th century. Continuing on our route we will then stop at Saint Neofytos Monastery. Here you will
see beautiful fresco paintings which have been under the protection of UNESCO since the 12th
century. We will then drive towards Polis, where we will have a quick break in Giolou Village. Cypriot
products are sold here as well as fresh bread made daily in their traditional wooden oven.
We will then carry on to the historical baths of Aphrodite and the Botanical gardens where according to
Greek Mythology if you wash your face with this water , you will stay young forever! Our last stop for
lunch will be Latchi where you can choose from the many local tavern’s at the marina.
DAY 7:
Driving towards the East coast of Cyprus we head to Famagusta. Our first stop will be Apostle
Barnabas Monastery, where St Barnabas’s tomb lies. Built in the 15th century, this influential building
is a reminder of the important role Cyprus played in the history of Christianity in the Mediterranean.
We will enjoy a coffee break in the small cafe which is surrounded by attractive gardens. Proceeding to
